I’ve been here before; last semester before high school concludes and I’m trying to straighten up as much as possible to get into a somewhat decent university. It’s all a big rat race out there…. but somebody’s gotta run it!

Look, if our last few webcomic scripts had a point it would probably be that you should study harder for the SATs. I guess… I mean if you have some huge grand vision of where you want to go for college and who you want to meet while attending college then you better study your ass off, get very good grades, and participate in every sort of extra-curricular activity known to man. That’s just the way it is. For the rest of us, who plan on attending a state university, tech school, or community college, I’d say the SATs (or the ACTs) aren’t all that important.

Unfortunately for Geoff, I’m not sure if studying hard and paying attention that close to graduation is really gonna help him out all that much, but we’ll see. Anything can happen I guess.

On a side note, I’m just completely bullocks at following this schedule so we are gonna mix it up a bit. I’ll just post a new comic whenever I remember, but I promise that it will be AT LEAST two per week. How’s that sound?

Geoff is going to become the boy who cried racial intolerance. Will it work? Probably not. Will it get him into even more trouble? Probably.

On a side note, why don’t those standardized tests ever cover some of the lighter ends of schooling such as art. I think people who are decent at art should be given a chance to compete with some of their more English/Math attuned colleagues. Just a thought…

Man I do not envy high school seniors. Not only does high school suck, but it’s also a time when many kids are beginning preperation for their big test; either the SAT or the ACT. Both are B.S. if you ask me, but they are a necessary evil. Unless you go to community colleg which, depending on your state, could very well be a great option. Anyways, I’m rambling as I’m often wont to do.

So it’s the end of another week right? Don’t we usually do something in these occasions?

Anyways, I always did wonder why the SATs used such a bizarre method of scoring. What’s wrong with the simple F, D, C,B, A rating? Perhaps they didn’t like that it was missing the ever important E… Damn E-ist grading system.

It’s actually a true statistic, by the way, if you are absolutely completely dumb-founded by a multiple choice question you are more likely to get the answer correct if you guess ‘C’. Although, that said, I don’t think the odds are extremely in your favor. Best of luck anyways!
